Kinston Road Village Fall Festival & Food Drive Saturday October 3rd 11:00am to 4:00pm Beech to Blantyre

PUMPKIN SCAVENGER HUNT:

Participating businesses will have pumpkins on a table outside, in the window, or inside their shop. Write down the correct number for that specific location and return your forms to Ella Minnow by 4:00 pm to be entered into the draw to win prizes. Prizes are donated by the businesses of Kingston Road Village. Scavenger hunt forms can be picked up at Skaut Design, Ella Minnow, and Wellbe.

FOOD DRIVE:

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, this year we wanted to make sure our local food banks had a bit of an extra boost of donations. Please bring non-perishable food items during the festival to Pegasus, Ella Minnow, and Kingston Road United Church so we can help make sure those in our community do not go without food this Thanksgiving.

HAPPENING AT THE FESTIVAL:

Many of the businesses between Beech and Blantyre will be doing fun activities for kids and families. Here are a few highlights submitted by the businesses:

CROWN OF JEWELS – A fall favourite is back again — HAIR TINSEL, while enjoying some hot apple cider!

KINGSTON KIDS – Sensory table with pumpkin sensory activities and SMASH, plus so much more! (Located at Kingston Road United Church.)

ELLA MINNOW – Children’s author Sae Kimura, a puppet show, and crafts (12:00 pm to 2:00 pm). The Gruffalo will also be there for pictures and dancing, along with the new book release.

99 BOTTLES – Singer Chris Scian LIVE 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, along with food and drink samples all festival long!

CADENCE PHYSIOTHERAPY / ELEVATED FADES:

• BALLOON ANIMALS – Please note, balloon animals will take place between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm in partnership with their neighbour Elevated Fades.

COLLECTED JOY – The best face-painting artist in the city will be offering their talents all festival long. Don’t miss Sam at Collected Joy!

LIGHTHOUSE 971 – T.C. Folkpunk LIVE 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, hosted by Dr. Jeff Shnall. (Dr. Jeff is now located at 2 Main Street.)

SWEETEST THINGS – SALE SALE SALE! Shop and save! The team will be giving away some treats for the kids and some for the grown-ups too!

SANCTUARY CAFE: NEW TO THE FESTIVAL AND KRV – The Sanctuary Cafe will be offering delicious drinks, tasty treats, and fun colouring for the little ones. They are located inside Kingston Road United Church — just go up the ramp, a few steps, and you are there.
